UK Today News: Uganda Bomb Blast – 64 Killed In Sunday Night Bomb Attack In Kampala
Uganda Bomb Blast: Two bomb blasts ripped through the crowded area of Uganda, when people were watching the finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and killed 64 people, which includes an American. These blasts are one of the deadliest attacks on the city, officials stated.
Reports say that the twin blasts took place at an Ethiopian owned restaurant and a Rugby club, in Kampala. It was late Sunday evening, when the blasts took place and it stated that terrorists from the Al-Qaeda inspired Islamists Shebba rebelions from Somalia are responsible for it.
According to the officials, who have been reporting at the scene, it is said the 64 people are confirmed dead and 65 are injured, but the nationalities of the killed and the injured have not yet been completly disclosed. Sad news came from American embassy,that among the dead includes an American citizen and in red there are three of them.
According to the Chief of National Police, Kale Kayura, stated that these attacks are confirmed terrorist attacks. President Obama, also stated, that such attacks are deplorable and cowardly.
