UK Today News: More Attacks on NATO Soldiers In South Afghanistan And In The Kandahar Region
It was reported that four more soldiers belonging to the International Security Assistance Force, were killed in a bomb attack in South Afghanistan today.
And in an another incident a US soldier was killed in a separate suicide attack attack in the Kandahar region. These incidents have followed only a day after the three US soldiers and five Afghani locals were killed in Kandahar.
The most recent attacks prior to this one came yesterday when three British soldiers were killed in the Helmand province by the Taliban. Putting all the death toll together, there have been 45 troops dead in the month of July and the June was the bloodiest of them all, with 100 NATO troops dead in rebellious attacks.
On Tuesday a report had come that a terrorist had detonated himself at the gate of the Headquarters of a police station in Kandahar. During that attack three US soldiers and five civilians had died. These are all co-ordinated attacks that have been taking place against the security forces and this has now become a point of concern.
