UK Today News: Eunice Bowman Dead – U.K’s Oldest Person Dies At Age 111
Eunice Bowman, the UK’s oldest person, has died at the age of 111 today at the Hillside Grange Care Home in Gateshead- barely a month before her 112th birthday. She was born in 1898 and has witnessed six monarchs taking the throne in her entire life.
Bowman, is known to have had a big family comprising of six children, 17 grandchildren, as well as 32 great grandchildren and also five great-great grandchildren.
Reports say that she went down in the Guinness Book of World records as the oldest living person ion the U.K and is also known to have said that the secret to her long life was that she never touched cigarettes.
Eunice Bowman was born in Lancashire on 23 August 1898.
