UK Today News: San Francisco Gas Explosion Kills 1 – San Bruno Fire In California Injures Dozens
San Bruno fire: A deadly San Francisco gas line explosion has left firefighters battling a huge blaze which has engulfed several homes in the San Bruno suburb located next to San Francisco airport, California, on Friday, authorities said. Current reports say that 1 person has died, and many others have suffered burn injuries.

Emergency Management officials have confirmed the death of one person, and several others are being treated at local hospitals. Officials also say that the number of dead may possibly increase.
CNN reports that a fire chief said that around 53 homes were badly damaged and almost 120 homes are damaged as a result of the huge fire. Firefighters are yet to locate the exact spot where the gas line explosion took place, after a massive fireball which extended almost 50 feet burned for several hours on Friday night.
Reports state that PG&E Corp has confirmed that their high-pressure gas line is the responsible for the explosion and fireball in the area. However, the company is yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
A number of places such as the San Bruno Veterans Memorial Recreation Center are currently used as evacuation shelters for the dozens of people affected by the fire.
