Miss World 2009 pageant news | Miss Gibraltar wins Miss World 2009 |
The Miss World pageant 2009 – which is in its 59th year – will take place on December 12, 2009, at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The month long event begins on November 7, 2009 when the contestants arrive in London, England .
Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia – the current Miss World – will crown the new Miss World 2009.
120 contestants from around the world will be taking part in this huge event – where beauty and brains meet each other.
According to the Miss World organizers, the pageant begins on 7th November where all the contestants get together for the first time at a Charity event in England. The bevy of beauties will also go to Abu Dhabi on the 10th of November, after which they will move to Johannesburg to compete for the Miss World crown.
The Miss World Fast Track titles have already taken place where a few beauties have already won the smaller titles to qualify for the final 20.
