UK Today News: Rutgers Suicide Case – Friends Say Dharun Ravi And Molly Wei Made A Bad Mistake
Tyler Clementi Suicide: Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, the students of Rutgers University Campus who allegedly filmed their friend Tyler Clementi in a compromising situation with another man, will have to face terrible consequences after this act of theirs resulted in the victim committing suicide.

However, People reports that friends of Ravi and Wei clarify that the accused are not bad, but that they made a very bad mistake. Clara Sreeran, Ravi’s neighbor said, “He is a very good kid, very respectful. It’s just a bad mistake.” One of his friends adds, “Ravi is not the type of person who ever bullied anyone. I can’t recall any time he was mean.”
For Wei, her friend recalls, “Wei was at the wrong place with the wrong people. It was purely an innocent prank that went completely wrong. She never set up the camera. She [also] never told Dharun not to do this.”
Ravi and Wei have been charged with invasion of privacy for capturing and streaming the video of Tyler Clementi and another man live on the internet.
The 18-year-old Tyler, who was a violinist, killed himself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River on the 22 nd of September.
