UK Today News: Kunduz Governor Muhammad Omar Killed In Afghanistan Mosque Bomb Blast
Muhammad Omar, the Governor of Kunduz, Afghanistan, was killed in a recent mosque bomb blast along with 14 other civilians. The bomb blast took place in a mosque situated at Taloqan, Takhar region.
Sources state that the Governor had been there to offer prayers at the time of the blast. The attack also left 20 more injured. The news of the Governor ‘s death was confirmed by the Provincial Security Chief, Shah Jahan Noori.
Many attacks targeting the Governor took place and he believed that the Taliban was the culprit. Unfortunately, Omar’s brother too was killed in an attack by the Taliban that took place the last year.
