UK Today News: A fire at the O2 arena in Greenwich at south-east London, led to US rock band Kings of Leon cancelling their sold out at the venue on Tuesday.  Reports state that the venue did not suffer any loss or damage, as only a tour bus had caught fire.

Since it took time to asses the damage, the owners of 02 did not have any other choice than to cancel the show.

“Unfortunately, due to this morning’s fire on board one of the tour buses at The O2, tonight’s Kings of Leon concert will now be postponed,” AEG, the owners of 02, said in a statement.

AEG announced that a new date will be announced soon and had also apologized for the inconvenience caused. Some 60 firefighters, along with 12 fire engines struggled with the fire. The London fire brigade said that it was a very challenging condition to deal with.

No one had to be hospitalized, as the ambulance treated six people for inhalation of smoke.
