English stage and screen actor Sean Bean was on May 9, 2012 arrested and was questioned on suspicion of sending abusive text messages to his ex wife Georgina Sutcliffe. The actor was also arrested on suspicion of making harassing phone calls.
A spokesperson from the Scotland Yard says, “A 53-year-old man attended a central London police station by appointment yesterday, where he was arrested on suspicion of harassment and bailed until a later date”. The police said that Bean was arrested and questioned but was not charged.
The Daily Mirror identified the man as the 53 year old actor and also posted a picture of him arriving at the police station. The actor is known for playing the role of Eddark Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Bean married wife Sutcliffe, who was his fourth wife in the year 2008. They got divorced in the year 2010. Last year the actor was stabbed outside a bar in London by a stranger, who according to the reports made lewd comments on a Playboy model. The couple got married at Marylebone register office in February 2008. They had then shared a house in Belsize Park, in North London.
