Tampa Police officers shot dead

Two Tampa police officers were fatally shot this morning during a traffic stop.

Considerable search is on to nab the killers of the police officers.
31 year old, Officer Jeffrey Kocab, was with the department for about 14 months. He came from the Plant City Police Department. He was married and his wife, Sara, is nine months pregnant.

The other officer who lost his life was Officer Dave Curtis. Even he was 31 years old. He was associated with the department for almost four years. The former Hillsborough County jail deputy left behind his wife, Kelly, and four sons.

Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said, “the shooter is believed to be the Toyota’s male passenger and police have spoken with people who know him.”

Mayor Pam Iorio said. “Our hearts are just breaking. It is so very tragic.”

Tampa Bay’s Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrests of the suspects responsible for the murders of Tampa Police Officers.
