UK Today News: Miss Jamaica 2010 Yendi Phillipps Makes Jamaica Proud – Former Miss Jamaica World 2007 Comes Second
Miss Jamaica Universe 2010 Yendi Phillipps may not have won the coveted Miss Universe 2010 crown, but she did make it to the top five and win the first runners-up title on 23rd August in Las Vegas, USA.

The stunning 24 year old has also gone down in history to become the first Jamaican woman ever to come so close to the crown. Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe 2010 and Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell is the second runner-up.
Besides winning Miss Jamaica Universe 2010, Yendi Phillipps was also crowned Miss Jamaica Word 2007 and even made it to the final top 16 back then. After having worked out so long, it all seems to have paid off for this Jamaican beauty.
Her first runner-up win at the 2010 Miss Universe pageant has definitely led to celebrations in Jamaica.
