UK Today News: Wikileaks Report – Pakistan Strongly Denies Helping Taliban In War On Afghanistan

More than 90000 U.S. military documents were reportedly published on the website, Wikileaks, and at least three news agencies got hold of this website in publishing these documents. In response to the Wikileaks reports, Pakistan has strongly denied the accusation that its intelligence agency, ISI, supported the Taliban in the war on Afghanistan.

Reports state that the documents reported that Pakistan and Iran provided a helping hand to the Taliban, and also include some unreported Afghan civilian killings. Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S. stated that the reports did not contain any of the current ongoing situations.

He told BBC: “I think that the American leadership knows what Pakistan is doing.”

On the other hand, the top news agencies to get hold of these top secret military papers include The New York Times, The Guardian, and a German News Magazine, Der Spiegel.

The Military reports stated clearly that Pakistan was supporting the Taliban activity in Afghanistan. Other key points that these papers pointed out state that the Taliban had access to heat-seeking missiles that could shoot down planes, among other points.
