The new service from Google will be launched within the next six months. The service will be launched in the US before it is launched in the UK.

The executive chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt, will be revealing the plans of the launch at the Mac Taggart lecture at Edinburgh Television Festival this year. The company, while talking about the features of the service has said that it will allow users to search for any kind of content on TV with the help of a single click. The service will also give users the independence to switch between the TV and the internet without making any changes in the cables. Instead of a remote, smartphones and iPhones can be used. Moreover, people can also use their own voice to conduct searches.
