2011 royal wedding details revealed – Archbishop of Canterbury to preside over marriage ceremony

UK Today News: The details of the much awaited 2011 British royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton has been officially revealed. A confirmation has been received that the couple will be married in Westminster Abbey by the Archbishop of Canterbury on 29th April 2011.

According to St. James Palace, after the wedding ceremony, the couple will move in a carriage procession and are expected to return to Buckingham Palace. The route will include the Horse Guards Parade,The Mall, Parliament Square and Whitehall. The Queen of England will later host a reception for the newly weds in the palace, and the invitees wiil include the couples’ private and official circle.

A public holiday has been announced on the day of the royal wedding and with Easter and the May Day holiday, Britain will enjoy a four day weekend. The couple had announced their engagement in the month of November.

The royal wedding in the UK is expected to attract huge crowd from across the world.
