UK Today News: On Wednesday, Warner Bros. announced that the role of Selina Kyle, Catwoman’s alter ego, will be played by Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway. “The Dark Night Rises”, the third and final film of the Batman series will be directed by Christopher Nolan.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story,” Nolan said. Previously, the role of Kyle was played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins and Maggie Gyllenhall in The Dark Knight.
Sources said that Anne was chosen among other top actress like Jessica Biel and Keira Knightly to play the role of Kyle. It was also revealed that Tom Hardy will be playing the role of Bane. “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies,” Nolan said.
The director has previously worked with Tom in previous installment of the movie.
