The winner of the much awaited Miss USA 2011 pageant was announced last Sunday night. Miss California Alyssa Campanella had claimed the title of Miss USA 2011 leaving behind 50 other beauties in the pageant, who were also fighting it out at the competition.
The pageant was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino at the Las Vegas Strip. Campanella had stunned the stage of the pageant with her beauty, while she appeared in a turquoise color gown and while polka dots bikini in the gown and bikini rounds of the pageant.
Campanella had intelligently answered the question and answer section, when she was asked about the legalization of the drug Marijuana. The 21-year-old beauty answered that she does not know if it would help in the drug war, but it would definitely help those who need Marijuana for medical purposes.
The first runner up for the night was Ashley Durham, Miss Tennessee, while Miss Alabama claimed the third position. Miss Kentucky, Kia Ben-et Hampton had won the title of Miss Congeniality. The title of Miss Photogenic was won by Miss Arizona Brittany Dawn Brannon.
