UK Today News: British journalist and TV presenter, Piers Morgan announced on November 9, 2011 that he has quit from the post of the judge of the reality show ‘ America’s Got Talent’. Morgan had tweeted that he is leaving the reality show after six wonderful years on the judging panel.

Before he tweeted, an official announcement was also made on his CNN talk show ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’. Morgan added that juggling is harder and that he would now focus on CNN.

In his tweets, Piers thanked Fremantle, NBC and also his close friend Simon Cowell for giving him such a great opportunity. Morgan added that he had a blast with his stint on the reality show.

As of now, there has been no official announcement as to who will be Morgan’s replacement on the show. Piers had become a star due to his appearance on the show.

Morgan signed with the CNN last year for the chat series ITV and had taken over from TV veteran Larry King. Now Piers is also on the run to be the next host for the Oscars, after Eddie Murphy stepped down. Apart from being the judge of the reality show, he was also known as the winner of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’.
