UK Today News: British singer Adele is on the road to recovery after undergoing throat surgery and will soon be returning to her songs. The singing star gave all her fans an update of her health on November 15, 2011 after she underwent throat surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital last week.
The ‘Rolling in the deep’ singer thanked all her fans for all the prayers, wishes and the support. Adele said that she was thankful and grateful for all the positive thoughts and the get well wishes.
The singer added that she was doing very well, was super happy and relaxed in a very positive way. Before starting off her message to the fans, Adele said that she is currently chilling out till the doctors give her an all clear sign. The singer even appreciated all her fans who had continued their support during the rough times and thanked even those who had helped her win some awards while she was on a break.
Earlier, Adele managed to win some coveted awards and then in the month of October Adele was honored with the Q Awards with the Best Female Artist and the Best Track prizes. Moreover on 6th November, she was named as the Best UK and Ireland Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards. However, due to the health issues the singer was not present at the prize giving events. Due to her health conditions the 23-year-old singer had to cancel many concerts in the US as well as the UK in the past year.
At a point the doctors warned the singer that she has to now go through a procedure at the earliest or she might lose her voice permanently. Adele went through a vocal cord laser microsurgery for the chronic throat haemorrhages from a benign polyp. The singer has also cancelled concerts and performances for the rest of the year.
