UKTodayNews.com: Atong Demach was crowned as Miss World South Sudan on September 30, 2011 and will be representing her country at the upcoming Miss World 2012 pageant in China. South Sudan is a newly independent country in Africa and Atong will be the first beauty to represent this newly formed African nation.
The 23-year-old is excited to represent her country for the first time at the Miss World pageant and is also proud to stand for Beauty with a Purpose. Demach belongs to a town called Bor on the river Nile and studied translation at university at Juba which is also on the river Nile.
She aims to be involved to help needy children and also wants to work for protecting the environment.
