After the controversial naked photos scandal, it has been decided by the Royal family that they would lodge a complaint against the press which published the pictures of Prince Harry. But now St James Palace announced that it would not proceed with a formal complaint due to Prince’s current deployment in Afghanistan.
Harry had made headlines in the month of August when several naked pictures of the Prince were out online which were clicked in Las Vegas. Moreover the palace had also confirmed that the pictures were of Prince Harry.
The 27 year old had then filed a complaint against the British Newspaper The Sun which printed the pictures. But now as Harry is serving as an Apache helicopter co-pilot, he will not be pursuing the complaint further. A spokesperson from St. James Palace said, “We remain of the opinion that a hotel room is a private space where its occupants would have a reasonable expectation of privacy, Prince Harry is currently focused entirely on his deployment in Afghanistan, so to pursue a complaint relating to his private life would not be appropriate at this time and would prove to be a distraction.”
The spokesperson also said that it would not be right to take the matter further.
