The Royal Wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William in 2011 is still in the minds of many people. However, Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton remembers the special day more prominently, as she was the bridesmaid on April 29, 2011. Pippa joked about her globally famous bridesmaid dress – designed by Alexander McQueen – during an event in London.
Following the highly anticipated wedding ceremony, the younger Middleton sister became famous all over the world, thanks celebrity to her bridesmaid gown. The curve-hugging dress that Pippa wore garnered plenty of attention as it displayed the perfect back which was featured on numerous magazines and grabbed headlines everywhere. At the Women in Advertising and Communications dinner that was held on February 25, 2014, Pippa spoke about the popular gown designed by Alexander McQueen.
Middleton joked in front of the 400 attendees and said, “As I have found out, recognition has its upside, its downside and-you may say-its backside.” Pippa also expressed that she was glad the dress fitted for the Royal Wedding and added that it actually fitted too well.
Prince William and Catherine Middleton got married on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London. Even though Pippa’s outfit attracted a lot of attention on its own, Kate’s wedding gown was the one that was watched by millions across the globe and was appreciated for its beauty and elegance.
