UK Today News: Online Christmas shopping in Britain gets a boost with Amazon’s deals

Amazon.co.uk seems to be encouraging many Britishers around the UK to start shopping online for Christmas 2010. This is a move by Amazon to pull in British customers this year who won’t be making the best of shopping online this Black Friday.

Reports state that this year, Amazon will be encouraging their British customers to buy as much as they can from their website. This a corporate move by Amazon to boost it’s sales before the onset of Christmas next month. Amazon will provide Britons with great deals and slashed prices, in addition to discounts on a variety of products, in a similar manner to Black Friday.

On the other hand, in the US, Amazon will look at selling technology products as it’s front line goods on the web. People will see the PlayStation, Wii and Xbox prices being slashed by almost 60% and Sony TV sets have come down to half the price. Critics say that Amazon has the best deals this year for all its British customers and it hopes that they are indeed attracted to these products.
