Once again, the search engine giant Google has made the controversial eyewear Google Glass available to customers in the United States. Google is offering the ‘explorer edition’ of the device – which is the $1,500 test version – for general sale following an initial 24-hour sale sold out.

Reports say that the American company wants to increase the number of people who are using the hardware and there is a possibility that Google will clear the inventory for the ‘real’ consumer version. The search engine giant revealed a 24 hour sale in April 2014 and it has been reported that Google Glass was sold out within just hours. When the company’s previous plans were leaked, it said, ‘Whoops. So… we’d planned to post this next week, but it looks like the cat’s out of the bag now’.

Google also said that over the past few months, they have been trying out various ways in order to expand the Explorer program. Explorers include surgeons, bakers, moms and they have all brought a new perspective, which is making the device better.

Google stated that they get requests on a daily basis from those who have not found a way into the program by now. The number of spots available is limited, so users have to hurry if they want to get their spot. The search engine will also include a free sunglasses shade or one of its prescription glasses frames for all customers who purchase Google Glass.
